Nothing Happens, Pt 2!!

This week has been super chill. Nothing really has happened so I don’t have too much to say. We are still in our houses, like all day, but things are starting to open up a little bit.

Sunday we went to the church and gave the sacrament to 5 sisters in the ward who don't have priesthood, so we had a super amazing experience. It was great to see some of the faithful members here. We gave one of the sisters a blessing after. The Spirit was so strong in the nearly empty chapel.

Another cool thing this week was Elder Porter Albertson came here. I haven't seen him yet but I am so excited to see him someday. Big shout to him!!

Tomorrow we will be hearing from Elder David A. Bednar. We will talk to our mission over zoom. So, I will have something more interesting to right about next week.

I love you all so much and hope you all have a great Memorial Day!!

Nothing Happened!!!

This week was transfers so this is why my P-Day is Tuesday. Last night we had transfer calls and hardly anything happened. I am staying in Miami Lakes for a fourth transfer and I am also staying with my dad Elder Alvarado for another one. I will have spent a quarter of my mission in this area and also with my trainer. I love him and this area so it's all good.

Not much happened this week. We got 2 more Elders in the apartment across the hall so now there is 8 of us here. It's a party. Our friends are doing good. We sing to the Mata family like every day. Elder Alvarado can sing, but I can’t, but we still sing anyway and it's fun. We are starting to open things back up slowly so that's good news.

Juicy pump Friday: So, there is a place called Smoothie King, and they make health smoothies that are so good. Every Friday we workout hard and then go get a smoothie, especially Friday’s, because it is $2 off. The Sisters came over at 6 so we could all run together and then it started to rain. We got halfway down the road and it began to rain hard, like it does in Florida, and we got drenched. It was crazy, but we got smoothies after, so it was alright.

I am excited for a new transfer and for a new beginning. I always like transfers because I can start again.

Sorry about the short email but nothing really happened. I also didn't take many photos, which is terrible, but that's alright.

Las Aguas Del Bautismo

This week was AMAZING.

The quarantine doesn't stop the work. A lot has changed here at the house. We are getting a lot of new missionaries and things are just crazy.

Wednesday, we had Maria's baptism. Not going to lie, it was so stressful. I met Maria and the Mata Family my second day here in Miami Lakes back in January. I have been able to teach Maria all the way to her Baptism, which is so cool. She is amazing and we are part of her family.  Like she makes us food, we go pick it up from her, and it's so cute. Maria was also born the same year as my Mom so that's cool. (Photos below to show the baptism).

Speaking of Maria and her being like my Mom, it was Mother's Day yesterday. We sang primary songs to Maria over the phone about Mother's Day and it was so cute. She said we could make an album. Ohh, and HUGE shout out to my mom. She's the best.

We have gotten 3 new missionaries in the apartment. One of them was reasighned here after he came home from Brazil. Another one is a missionary who has been here and he is training a brand new missionary from the home MTC.  It is super fun.

That's about all the news. I am loving it here and thriving. The Ward still feeds us super good. Elder Alvarado and I "fight" all the time because we are both so dramatic, and because sometimes he hits me where I got sunburned, but I still love him.

It Was Somebody's Birthday...

This week it was a Sisters in Zone's birthday. So we got to celebrate that.  We also went to the temple, we fasted twice, and I have a big time announcement about my best friend Maria.

Tuesday we went to the temple to do some service. We power washed the sidewalks and also polished the light post. It was so good to get out and do some work. It made me feel like I was back at the farm working. I had a bad sunburn on my neck but it was worth it. I also had interviews with President Garns and I just did in in a t-shirt sitting in a car. We also got to take a photo with the spare angel Moroni, and got to see some other missionaries.

Now about Maria. Friday we fasted for her to try to move her baptism up to Wednesday. I know that is soon but she needs it and she is ready. She is going through a lot and needs the blessings. So Friday, we asked her if she would want to be baptized and she said, "I am in your hands and I will to whatever." She has so much faith. Sunday we fasted again, and she had her interview and she passed. So we are just getting everything ready for Wednesday.

This Thursday was a Sisters birthday so Elder Alvarado made her a yummy good cake. We went over as our small District and sang to her and just talked to them for like 2 hours because we miss being social. Oh, I guess it was also my birthday yesterday, but whatever.

I am enjoying things so much right now. We get missionaries tomorrow, so that will be cool.

I love y'all lots.
