Welcome to Fountainebleau

I am in my new area and WOW it is amazing. I am even more in the city so that's crazy. I definitely miss the country. I live in the 4th floor of a 5 story apartment complex and it's big. I am super close to Miami and everyone here speaks Spanish and it is great. Like I mean everyone speaks Spanish. It's crazy.

My new companion is Elder Benevides. He is amazing. He is from Brazil and super funny. He’s been out for about 17 months so we are both just ready to go and work. I live in a 6 man and its fun. The kitchen gets pretty crazy during lunch but other than that it is all good.

We are teaching some awesome people. We did a chapel tour and invited our friend to be baptized. He is super cool. We also had in person church and it was so great. It kinda felt weird to go back but I loved it. This ward is great and I can’t wait to meet more and more of them. I am so excited to be here.

Everything else is going well. I love new transfers because it is like a new start. It is great. I love y'all and be safe.

Love Elder Isom.

Also, I didn't take to many photos this week.

My new address:

9340 Fountainebleau Blvd #403 Miami, Fl 33172

I love yall. Thanks for being my biggest fans!

Transfer 10 Here We Go

So, I won't waste any time and get right into it. Last night was transfer calls and I am moving areas. I am going to a place called Fountain Blue. It's about 20 minutes north of me  but it's still pretty much Miami. Downtown Miami is probably 20 minutes away. I don't know my companion but I have heard of him before, and I am excited. I heard the Ward feeds you really, really well over there.

Speaking of Wards, church is going to open up here. All the churches are opening up in the next few weeks and some already have. The Sunset Ward here will open up the 11th and some churches already have opened up. It was been 6 months since I have had church so I am super excited.

I will miss Sunset a lot. I have loved the members here so much.  They are the best. I will miss Emma's baptism Saturday but I will join it on the zoom call. Emma is a child we have been teaching from an amazing family and I love them so much and will miss them a lot. I have been able to build up some good relationships here and have enjoyed my time. My two companions will both stay and both will be training new missionaries so that will be exciting.

I was reading in 2 kings 5:1-14 and that story is so good so go read it and learn more about obedience. I love y'all so much and hope you have a great week!

Un Viaje

Hello everyone. I will be super quick because I have to go and pick up some Cuban food in like 2 minutes. But it was a bomb week.

We got a lot of new people to teach from referrals. One is a 95 year old guy who his 2 daughters are members in the south of Florida. We also got this other cool lady and to top it off a less active member texted us and said his 9 year old needs to be taught and baptized.

Another sunny a busy week here in Sunset. The big highlights of the week were interviews with President Pingree, a 9er-9er and Key West.

So, Tuesday we had interviews with president. It was so spiritual. We were both 10 feet apart and there was a plastic screen between us so we could talk without our masks. President Pingree is so inspired. He gave me great advice for now and for future in life. I love him.

Wednesday we did something called a 9er 9er. It is where you find all day long. Before we would knock doors from 9am to 9pm. But since we can’t do that we decided to do the same thing but with our phones. We tried to contact 326 people. It was so fun. It was a grind and I loved it. I earned my pillow that night to sleep on so it was a good feeling.

Another sweet tender mercy was it was raining one day and our car was low on gas and we were coming back home. I didn't want to get gas but I felt we should. I said out loud fine I'll do it as if I was talking to my companion. As I got out to get gas a lady came out of the store and asked if we were Mormons and we talked for a bit and gave her a card with our number. She had been taught before by missionaries and loved a lesson they taught on the Holy Ghost.

Today for P-day we got up at 3:30 and we drove the 3 hours to Key West. It was so cool. The drive is incredible. we got lots of photos. Key west is a weird town. The locals are kinda weird but it was nice.

It's been a long day but I love y’all.

SEPTEMBER!!!

We went to the mission office again this week and on our way back Elder Montupin found a Spanish restaurant called cien montaditos. It was so good and it's just these little sandwiches and on Wednesday, which us when we went, all of them were 1 dollar.

Life is good right now. We keep on grinding in the trio life.

I love you all!
