No Sé!!!

I love my new area. I am in the most southern Zone in the whole United states. We had a Zone Council and they related us to a fire and the hottest part of a fire is the bottom, so we are literally heating up the whole United states and Canada here in Miami South. I am so excited to be here.

My companion Elder Palmer is amazing. He’s a farm boy from Malad, Idaho and he’s great. It's so awesome to finally have a companion who knows how to work!  I'm kidding, but he's great. He was in Peru for only 3 months and now he’s here. I also live with an Elder Montupin who is from Spain and I love when he talks because his accent is so beautiful.

We have been trying to get to know the members here. We have been calling a lot of them and doing little video calls to introduce ourselves. We only had 1 person to teach when we got here so I'm am excited to start fresh and find some awesome people to talk to.

At transfers I got to see a lot of people I haven’t seen in a while. One of my old companions was going home so I got to see him. I saw other people I have served around and it was so cool. There is also a ton of new missionaries who got in. Over 40 came. We are also getting our new Mission President this week so I am super excited for that.

I love you all so much and hope you have a great week!

Miami Lakes Has Talent

I don’t really know how to say stuff so this email will just kinda be all over the place and very simple.

We heart attacked our recent converts Maria's house. That's where you cut out hearts and put them all over there door. It was cute. We also got them Costco muffins. We also did that with the Sisters.

We had District Council for the first time. It was so fun. We did Miami Lakes Has Talent. So, we just did role plays teaching 7 minute lessons. People dressed up and it was awesome. It was the first time we have had District Council since March in person. Thursday we also had a mini Zone Conference. It was more like a goodbye to President and Sister Garns. It was super trunky. They just talked about families and after the mission advice. I am going to miss them though. They are the best.

One of our friends, named Micky, is amazing. She is getting baptized in 2 weeks. Her son in Orlando is going to baptize her. Her son is serving in Orlando. She is the sweetest and does everything we invite her to do. I am so excited for her.

I have been eating good food. I had Vietnamese food. Then I had BJ's twice. I also had yummy tacos.

Elder Alvarado is higher class so it's fun. I love it. This is also the last week of the transfer so that's crazy. So, my next P-day will be Tuesday and we will see if I will be transferring!

Apostles and Birthdays!

As I am writing this I guess a lot has happened this week. I feel like nothing happened but a LOT did.

ELDER DAVID A BENDNAR talked to us as a mission. We joined us over our Zoom call Zone Conference. He was amazing. He is so real and just a sincere man. I learned a lot about trusting in the Spirit.

It was Elder Alvarado's birthday yesterday. He turned 20. It is so weird that we both celebrated our birthday’s together. Who would have thought that when we were together in the first part of my mission we would spend May together? He also hit a year out so that's crazy, my Dad is so old.

Saturday we went to Chick-Fil-A and while got the food the Sisters came over and decorated the apartment. They made him some piñatas.  It was also Elder Ferguson's birthday Sunday also. Then Sunday morning we got up at 5:30 and made them both breakfast in bed.

That is about all the happened I guess. Things are pretty normal here.

Today I played some baseball which was so fun! It’s been I while since I have thrown a ball around.

It was also another Sister’s birthday today so we decorated her house. I am birthdayed out!  I also gave Elder Alvarado a haircut, so that was cool. Let's just say he had the freshest cut for an Apostle of God!

Love, Elder Isom
