2 Month Anniversary and I Caught an Iguana

So today for P-day we went to a park to play some sports. We played kickball and then played gator ball. It was super fun. The whole district was there.

The Creole Elders, Elder Engle, and LeBaron tried to catch this fat iguana. They chased after one and it started to climb up this tree but Elder Engle smacked it out of the tree and grabbed it and was holding this huge iguana. I touched it and it was so cool. They're crazy creatures. And Elder Engle is crazy too, he's from Arkansas.

This Wednesday we had an amazing lesson with our cool friend Luis. We talked about the Restoration and then we invited him to be baptized.  He accepted a date for the 30th of November! It was so amazing. We had with us a member, Hermano Guerrero. He was from Ecuador like Luis and they got along so great. They are like best friends now. We testified a lot and it was amazing. I could feel the Spirit so strong. Our District Council this week was on testifying more and that was so good for us.

Yesterday was awesome too. We found an amazing family from Honduras and they were so nice. Then that night I was with Elder Caines and we meet the coolest Cuban family. They invited us in and we talked for a long while. She gave us food and they had a bunch of friends over. We were all talking with our Cuban accents. Cubans are funny to talk to but also super hard. Then we showed them the "Because of Him" video about Jesus Christ. It was cool.

My Spanish is improving a lot. I am on a 3 week long English fast so that's really helping. Elder Alvarado and I tell each other stories while we are out walking. He told me the ENTIRE story of Pretty Little Liars in Spanish. It was so funny but also really good practice.

Things are great in Greenacres and La Obra is going good.

Love, Elder Isom
