Another solid week in Miami!!
Friday we had a lesson with this family from Peru. It is a son,a mother, and a cousin. We went over with a member and his daughter and taught them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I invited them to be baptized and they said “YES!!!” Then Sunday they came to Stake Conference. Before the Conference we talked with Elder James B. Martino of the Seventy and he said he wanted to meet our friends that would come. So, after the meeting we brought our friends to him, and they got to talk. It was awesome.
Sad news was our baptism Friday had to be postponed because she really wanted a member of the Young Women's to be there. She has cancer and was in the hospital last week, but hopefully this week we can do it. El diablo works hard before baptisms, but we will beat him.
Stake conference was so good. They talked a lot about the traditions we have in our families. Like do we go on missions or not. Or do we do Family Home Evening, or the Come Follow Me program. It was amazing. It was super special for this area because a lot of people are first or 2nd generation members and need to establish the traditions of growing closer to Jesus Christ. The transitions we make are very important and it will really help, especially the future, to continue to those good things we do.
Today for P-day we went go Top Golf which was super fun. I found some sweet fake glasses, so I have been wearing them for a bit the last week. Friday morning while we were working out, one of the Elders said, “look outside”, and the sky was pink. It was sooooo cool. It just rained and the sun was rising. I know the photo below looks photo-shopped, but I pinky promise, it's not.
Also this week we made Arrepas which are Venezuelan and Elder Gonez taught us how to make them.
I love y’all and have a good week,
Elder Isom
